Prox Carbon Steel Pliers
The Prox Carbon Steel Pliers are full of essential features for lure anglers and are also distinguished by their high quality.
The Japanese have created a carbon steel body with a nickel coating that makes it even more resistant to salt water and gives it a very special texture, even beautiful to look at, that never gets in the way. The grip of the Prox Carbon Steel Pliers is very firm and ergonomic, you have to hold it in your hand to understand how comfortable it is.
If we start counting what the Prox Carbon Steel Pliers have to offer, the bar is being raised. The beak, as you can see in the photos, easily handles split rings from #3 to #7, an important range that covers most of the requirements of a light to medium spinning angler. In addition, the various indentations or protrusions along the beak are used to tighten rivets, close or open split shots and align the rings of a lure.
In the central part we find the blades that can cut steel up to 1mm thick as well as nylon, fluorocarbon or braids. The model that we propose in the shop has a length of 18cm and from what we have been told by those who have had the opportunity to test it, it withstands very well the salt water and in general any kind of humidity. Even so, we know that with a minimum of care we will extend the life of our Prox Carbon Steel Pliers as much as any other. First of all, a rinse with fresh water and then apply a squirt of WD40 wiped with a cloth, and if from time to time we put a few drops of oil on the joint it would be practically perfect.
