Welcome to Caranx.netâ??s forum, a virtual community specialized in lure casting and jigging in Saltwater.

Before you open a new thread please use the search option (you must be registered to do it), this might help you find what you are looking for faster and help us reducing the number of duplicated posts asking the same question. Entering the forum with a question like: â??What do you think about this rod and reelâ?¦.â?? Or â??Where can I find the biggest fish in my areaâ?¦â?? is not the best. We appreciate a polite presentation of yourself in the Carangidae Café: â??Hi, this is Peter, Iâ??m from â?¦.â??. Is nice to understand where are you from and who you are, politeness and respect are the bases to be in a forum and share it with the others.

The moderatos will keep the right of registering the new members or banning those who will not respect the rules, use obscene or vulgar language, act in a racist or xenophobic way, or insult the other members. It is strictly forbidden to show links or upload videos with pornographic or racist contents, spamming, and using this forum to promote and sell fishing and non-fishing related products. Flames and arguments among members are seen as an offence to the whole community and will be punished.

The same way is not allowed to explicitly promote and advertise products, brands, shops and fishing charters operations.

Thereâ??s a very important rule about the use of the pictures. This forum and the web page of www.caranx.net have been fighting since the beginning to promote the culture of catch&release and ethical fishing. Is nothing radical or fundamentalist but we try to keep it straight, for this reason and for other less important and more esthetical, we hate to see pictures of dead fish hanging from a rope, a bucket full of meat, or gutted fish in the kitchen or the garden of the house. The pictures we admit are those taken on the very fishing spot, with shiny fish keeping their brilliant colours and if possible not bleeding.

Weâ??d like to close this brief introduction to the most important rules to follow in this forum with the words that should be the Bible of any person willing to approach the forum: Respect and Education

Thanks for your attention

Ciao
